COMMEMORATION OF THE CENTENARY OF EGON SCHIELE
EGON SCHIELE AND THE ETERNAL ART
For the commemoration of the centenary of the death of the great artist Egon Schiele, a program has been created that shows Schiele as a universal artist and goes beyond his oeuvre.
This program links Schiele with another Austrian genius of his time: Erich W. Korngold. The Austrian baritone Günter Haumer, who was born in the same town as Schiele (Tulln), pianist Magda Amara and violinist Johannes Fleischmann dedicate a program to these artists, including new songs composed after texts of Egon Schiele (music by Wolfram Wagner). To complete this concert, selected poems by Schiele will be recited by the singer.
